Have you ever won a contest online? Most of us are in doubt in joining a certain contest done over the Internet. Is there really an assurance that you can win or if you did, how about the prizes? Are they real?
In my opinion, it depends on what type of contest and what site are you going to join. Before participating in any form of contest online, make sure that you observe first.
Check the history of the hosting website.
Check how old the site is. A month old site that organize a contest is quite suspicious perhaps, the site author is doing it for promotion purposes, to generate traffic and to gained link popularity.
Do not ever disclose any of your personal information. If a contest asks you to provide your email address or any other personal data from you, do not disclose anything unless you have proven that the site is reliable and trustworthy.
Beware of Scammers. Always be observant and wise. Investigate before doing any move. If a site offers a huge amount of prizes, don’t be deceived by it. Be wise or else, you’ll regret it in the end.
Beware of Hackers. Some contest will require you to submit your email address. Some sites are doing it in purpose to hack someone else’s emails.
Have you ever won a contest online? I did! I won 4 times already but those are not as huge as what you’re thinking. Those are friendly contest conducted by some of my fellow bloggers.

I won a 5 cinema tickets, one customized tumbler, 20 bucks and a $100 coupon. Joining any form of contest online, whether by participating any online game or a raffled-based contest is fun. What important is we are ensured that we’re dealing with a trusted site. How about you? Have you ever join any online contest? Have you won? Share us your experience.
