Magic Knight Rayearth Addiction

Posted by bluedreamer on May 11, 2010 in Uncategorized with No Comments

If there is one show that made me glued at 1000 A.M. every Sunday in ABS-CBN, that would be the story of three girls that were given elemental powers to fulfill the prophecy, to bring peace and order in the chaotic world of Cephiro. This is Magic Knight Rayearth.
Cephiro is in danger of being destroyed because Zagato abducted Princess Emeraude and was kept in his secret domain where no one can come closer. Because of the prophecy written in Cephiro, Emeraude summon three girls from Tokyo. They are Fuu Hououji, Umi Ryuuzaki and Hikaru Shidou. They were welcomed by Master Clef and he explained to the girls their mission, however, Master Clef wasn’t able to explain everything because they were attacked by Alcyone, one of Zagato’s loyal servants. That is where their quest began, to find the legendary element named “Escudo” that became their weapons and the Rune Gods (guardians of Cephiro) only to find out in the end that their mission is to kill Princess Emeraude because they’ve discovered she has fallen for Zagato, hindering her ability to pray solely for Cephiro’s well-being and that is stated in the law of Cephiro.
In the second arc, the girls went back because three planets have the intention of conquering Cephiro and the Pillar must be chosen before the whole planet gets destroyed. Eventually, Hikaru is chosen to become the new Pillar. However, she rebels against the Pillar system, deciding that the fate of the planet should not be the responsibility of only one person, effectively preventing that person from ever being able to live and love freely.

Sleeping With Wet Hair

Posted by bluedreamer on May 9, 2010 in Uncategorized with No Comments

Filipino has been very superstitious. It has been said that going to bed with wet hair will cause blindness, migraines or even pneumonia. Though some have reported getting a headache, still, it hasn’t been proven that sleeping wet hair can cause serious condition like not being able to see. As for colds, well, i guess you can only catch it if you come across a virus. At the very least, you’ll wake up with bedhead hair.

Sex Education for Grade Schools?

Posted by bluedreamer on May 7, 2010 in Uncategorized with No Comments

We all know that there’s been an on going debate whether Public and private Schools will include “Sex education” as one of their curriculum. Most parents are not in favor with it because for them, it is too early for their kids to learn any things related to sex. However, I hope all those parents are aware that Department of Education is aiming to teach all the information about sex that is much appropriate with their age. I think this is a good step so that everyone is aware of sex and the risks, responsibilities and anything that are associated with it. One of the most important things that you can learn from Sex education is the sexually transmitted diseases and their effect. These STD including AIDS , HIV and more may harm your health and it is really advisable that all of us are aware of it’s causes and ways how to avoid it.

Cool Summer Treats

Posted by bluedreamer on May 4, 2010 in Uncategorized, foods and drinks, healthy living with 3 Comments

It’s really getting hot here in Philippines so here are some cool Pinoy treats that are perfect to fresh you up this  summer!I gathered all kinds of Pinoy treats! enjoy!

Let’s start with this very colorful Chocolate Shake

This is so perfect for kids. You can decide what kind of toppings your kids love to put.

You can try these “ICE CANDIES“. Probably the cheapest treats of them all.

Usually it only cost P2 and you can see them being sold everywhere especially every summer.

Here’s another FLAVORED MILK  SHAKES i bought from a store near to us.

You can try this at home too! You can use natural fruits to make it more tasteful!

The most popular Filipino Summer Treats is the “HALO-HALO“.

It is a popular Filipino dessert that is a mixture of shaved ice and milk to which are added various boiled sweet beans and fruits, and served cold in a tall glass or bow

Topped with “leche plan and Ube!

You can also try this “DIRTY ICE CREAM or what so-called SORBETES” Okay it’s not what you think!

Sorbetes is a Filipino version for common ice cream usually peddled from carts that roam streets in the Philippines. This should not be confused with the known sorbet. It is also commonly called ‘dirty ice cream’ because it is sold along the streets exposing it to pollution and that the factory where it comes from is usually unknown; though it is not really “dirty” as the name implies. It is usually served with small wafer or sugar cones and recently, bread buns.

Well, if none of the above is available near your place, you can just try making FRUIT JUICES.

So simple yet refreshing still

Oh by the way since i have mentioned “halo Halo already, i can say that one of the best Halo halo store is “Chow king” My brother and i went there last Sunday and it’s the best!

Have a great day everyone and happy blogging!
