It was confirmed that Richard Gutierrez will host the third season of GMA’s reality show, Survivor. Richard replaced its former host Paolo Bediones after transferring and signing an exclusive contract with TV5. There will be a big change in the upcoming third season of Survivor. It was said that the reality show will be dubbed as Survivor Philippines Celebrity Edition. Third season was reported to premiere sometime in 2010. According to a report on 24 Oras, the show would involve celebrities, which explains the lack of audition dates. Let’s just hope that this new season will give us thrills and excitement more than as what we felt with the previous seasons.

Have you ever won a contest online? Most of us are in doubt in joining a certain contest done over the Internet. Is there really an assurance that you can win or if you did, how about the prizes? Are they real?
In my opinion, it depends on what type of contest and what site are you going to join. Before participating in any form of contest online, make sure that you observe first.
Check the history of the hosting website.
Check how old the site is. A month old site that organize a contest is quite suspicious perhaps, the site author is doing it for promotion purposes, to generate traffic and to gained link popularity.
Do not ever disclose any of your personal information. If a contest asks you to provide your email address or any other personal data from you, do not disclose anything unless you have proven that the site is reliable and trustworthy.
Beware of Scammers. Always be observant and wise. Investigate before doing any move. If a site offers a huge amount of prizes, don’t be deceived by it. Be wise or else, you’ll regret it in the end.
Beware of Hackers. Some contest will require you to submit your email address. Some sites are doing it in purpose to hack someone else’s emails.
Have you ever won a contest online? I did! I won 4 times already but those are not as huge as what you’re thinking. Those are friendly contest conducted by some of my fellow bloggers.

52nd Grammy Awards would be the biggest night for both Taylor Swift and Beyonce as they both made history. Taylor Swift won four major awards including “Album of the Year” making a history for being the youngest artist who have won the title. While Beyonce Knowles smashes out the Grammy winning 6 major awards including “Record of the Year” for her Halo, “Song of the Year” for her Single Ladies (put a ring on it), “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance“, “Best Female R&B Vocal Performance“, “Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance” and “Best R&B song” making her the first female artist who have won six major awards in one night out of ten nominations. She surpassed the record of other female artist like Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse, and Norah Jones.

It was said that Beyonce will slowing things down this year and will going on a hiatus.

Today, we begin the month long Teacher’s Month Campaign(TMC) with the theme “My Teacher, My Hero” Now on its second year, TMC is in response to the call of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to celebrate the world’s Teachers’ Day meaningfully in October 5 every year.

Among the objectives of the month-long campaign are to generate widespread awareness and support for World’s Teacher’s Day; use the occasion to celebrate  the unique role and service that teachers play in guiding the families, strengthening communities, and building the nation; revitalize the image of teaching  as a vocation by increasing public awareness on the value of teachers in the Philippine society and national development; and assit current and retired Filipino teachers by coordinating a chain of establishments to provide value-added service or discounts to teachers.

We urge all possible cooperators,such as the coalition of the student coincils and organizations, consortiums of educational institutions and associations, bussiness establishments, professionals organiztions/ corporate foundations, and local government units to pay tribute to our teachers by preparing simple, creative, and meaningful activity that will affrim and celebrate  the value of teachers to the community and nation.

It is hoped that through the annual month long campaign, the celebration of World Teachers’ day will be raised to the same level as that of Mothers’ or Father’s Day; there will be increased enrollment in education degree courses, and our teachers will be accorded the recognition and appreciation they deserve.

May this campaign encourage our teachers to stay in the profession and remain in the Philippines to continue playing their central role in guiding our children, the youth, and even adults, through the life-long learning process!
